Our objective is to establish a 10,000-hectare agroforestry system along the Mangrove Marine Park, aligning community development with ecosystem conservation.
This goes beyond reforestation—it is a shift toward inclusive conservation, a model designed to regenerate landscapes and livelihoods, and to scale across protected areas in Central Africa.
This model stands on two strategic pillars:
- Inclusive Conservation: Moving away from traditional conservation model that excludes communities from the protected area, we work with local communities as the primary stewards of the park’s integrity.
- Self-Sustaining Financial Ecosystem: Creating a direct link between community development and park preservation through permaculture training and carbon financing, ensuring the community and the park’s long-term autonomy.
