The Institutional Guardian of the Mangroves
Established in 1992 and classified as a Ramsar site of international importance, the Mangrove Marine Park (PMM) is the heart of this initiative. Spanning 76,800 hectares, it protects the only mangrove ecosystem in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, a critical frontier for both the nation and the continent.
The Mangrove Marine Park (ICCN) stands as a symbol of conservation excellence. Its track record of releasing 36,000 turtles each year has transformed the project into an African scientific standard, demonstrating the tangible impact of high-integrity ecosystem management.

The Architect of Inclusive Regeneration
Fanyatu is a pioneering organization that has developed the Fanyatu Methodology™: a systemic transformation model rooted in mental coaching, theory of change, and permaculture. Unlike traditional conservation models based on exclusion, Fanyatu places human dignity and community autonomy at the heart of ecosystem regeneration.
The Fanyatu Methodology™ transforms local communities—often perceived as a threat to resources—into co-investors and guardians of their own natural capital. With expertise in permaculture and regenerative design, Fanyatu has already enabled the planting of over 7.2 million
trees across the DRC.
